Hi Thai visa gurus, I'm a Singapore passport holder and am allowed to enter Thailand via visa-on-arrival [CORRECTION thanks to Tod: SG arrivals via visa exemption entry, not VOA] for 30 days with proof of return flight tickets, quarantine + COE, etc --- Does anyone know if I have an option of extending it for another 30 days at the immigration office in Thailand? Many thanks for all your helpful input!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Singapore passport holder can enter Thailand via visa exemption and initially stay for 45 days due to a quarantine period. This stay can be extended for an additional 30 days at the immigration office for a fee of 1,900 baht.

I believe you'll get 45 days due to

Quarantine and you can extend for 30 more days

actually you're messing up your terminology :O

As a singaporean you're allowed to enter thailand on what's called a "visa exempt entry" stamp <- that means you didn't buy a visa from a thai consulate before you came here but because of your nationality you got stamped in for free.

The visa exempt entries USED to be for 30 days but they have been increased to 45 days (to cover the 15 days you do in quarantine)

AND

yes, they can be extended for another 30 days at the immigration office for 1900baht

Hi
@Tod ********
, thanks so much, just to confirm that I'm clear on this -- I'm able to enter on the visa exempt entry, and not as visa on arrival, and yes to extension. Big thanks!

and remember
@Est***
, while you can enter thailand on a visa exempt entry you still need to meet all the entry requirements (100K USD covid insurance, fit-2-fly certificate, 15 day booked quarantine, Certificate Of Entry from the MFA, etc) to come in.

Yes I'm just about to apply for the COE. Really appreciate the clarity!

just to confirm Singaporeans CANNOT get a visa on arrival, that's something that used to be sold to people from 19 countries when they arrived here and was good for only 15 days. IF a singaporean didn't buy a visa from the thai consulate in Singapore before they came here they ALWAYS entered on the visa exempt entry program

I see, I understand now. Thanks for the explanation.

There is no visa on arrival allowed at this time.

Check with the Singapore Thai Embassy for list of available visas for you
