Have any 60 (and 60+) year old females done the Muay Thai option for a visa and (more importantly) completed a course? I am a cross fitter and enjoy fitness but I am concerned that Muay Thai is another step. Is there such things as beginners (older) female classes at certain facilities? Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, women aged 60 and older can pursue the Muay Thai option for a visa in Thailand. There are no age limits imposed by immigration for this activity. Many gyms provide beginner-friendly classes, including non-contact options, suitable for older students and women. Beginners can inquire about schools that offer suitable training while also requesting visa support documents in English. Past participants note that they maintain a pace comfortable for their abilities, and having a background in fitness, like CrossFit, may help in adapting to Muay Thai training.

Age isn’t a problem for the Muay Thai (Soft Power) option. Immigration doesn’t set age limits.
Many gyms offer beginner-friendly, non-contact Muay Thai, and some are used to older students and women. For visa purposes, it’s about enrolment and attendance, not intensity or fighting.
Best approach:
• Ask gyms if they offer beginner / fitness-style Muay Thai
• Confirm they can issue visa support documents in English
• You can pace training to your ability
If you enjoy CrossFit, you’ll likely be fine with a beginner program.
