Are immigration offices outside of Bangkok generally more efficient than Bangkok's Chengwattana office?

Just want to say that koh samui immigration office is very pleasant. I went to get an extension today(friday) and the line to submit forms, passport, have 1 person ahead of me, so I waited  maybe 50 seconds. After I submitted the paperwork (around 14:10) I looked around their were probably 25 foriengers waiting inside. Everyone left their shoes outside and were relaxing in the air con. I left to drop off my gf for work and came back maybe 15 mins later and sat down for 30 seconds before they called my number. Which makes me think that had done it faster than 15mins and they saw me come in. 

Are all immigration offices outside of bangkok like this?

If it is I will try to avoid doing anything at chengwattana (bkk immigration) ever again.

Nakhon Pathom immigration is good when it's not crowded. Mondays and Fridays are almost always crowded.

I've only had very pleasant experiences at immigration offices. Had a nasty experience at Krabi airport once when arriving from Singapore but the situation was resolved by Thai gf.

sometimes they're good sometimes they're not. It's a crap shoot.

You can pretty much go to any office for 30 day extensions on 30 day visa exempt stamps and on 60 day tourist visas.

For other visas depending on where you live you have to use the immigration office in your area for extensions.
