Long post, but please help a stressed but caring daughter out 🙏🏼

My dad (73) has been living in Thailand on various visas and using agents for about 6 years, so he's not new to it all.

He let his retirement visa go well over a year ago (maybe more) and has been on 90 day runs in and out, plus 6 months in the UK last year.

When he went back to Thailand at Christmas he had a warning (I think) about too many trips in and out. He's since left for a bit and travelling about but doesnt like it and wants to get back to Thailand.

Can he at some point soon or end of the year go back and start the 90 days visa trips for a period of time?

Also he thinks he can start again with getting a new retirement visa with an agency BUT he doesn't meet criteria of lump sum in the bank (I know theres companies).

Also he doesn't meet criteria of minimum income of £1500 a month.

Also he has no health insurance and probably cant afford it.

Is he flogging a dead horse, so to speak? 😂

Can he navigate around everything to continue living in Thailand if he takes a 6 or 12 month break away?

Thanks if you've got this far, I just don't want him to eff it up and leave me sorting it all and housing him back here in UK

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all having a good day. So after lots of research, I’m thinking that buying the Thai gold privilege card is the best route. 5 years, don’t have to keep doing any border runs…Seems like the easiest way to go.

Any downside of it? Other than the 900,000 baht that is.

So many conflicting options my head is spinning.

We are looking to move to samui full time.

I run and will continue to run a ltd business in the UK and that's where the money will come from to live in thailand.

There is myself (38) wife (35) and 2 children under 12

All uk passport holders

What is our best option?

I would ideally in the future like to open a thai Ltd business and invest in businesses there. But for the immediate future it will juat be longest possible visa without hopping borders,

Options and opinions please.

My Mrs is Thai and has an Indefinite Leave to Remain visa. We are planning longterm so obviously things may change, but we plan on splitting our time in retirement between the w countries. We are thinking 3 month slots. What would be my best visa option ? or would a 60 day visa and 1 border bounce be suitable ?
