A final summary on my retirement based one year extension of stay obtained at Phuket Immigration in August 2018...

It was pretty much easy, but it seems there are a few new little changes/tweaks to be aware of. Ones I wasn't told about, so maybe they are not new tho...

The attached photo checklist by another member for the Extension of Stay application at Room 1.03 was a great start. But I would make one small change to it now, at least for me...

And that is that I was required to also provide a photocopy of my credit card (front only) and signed of course. Because my card was black it was virtually illegible but that was still acceptable, I still don't know why it was requested tho...

Additionally, after paying 1900 baht and having the digital photo taken, I was told the TM7 documents and passport had to be left for pickup the next day, even tho I had seen the immigration officer put all the required stamps, dates and signatures in the passport and on the application to grant the Extension of Stay. So I was just a little surprised...

One more piece...

I also wanted to get a multiple use Re-entry Permit. However I found that they would not process the TM8 at the same time as the TM7 application.

No real problem, so when I returned and easily picked up mg passport I went around to Room 1.01. There I got caught out just a little bit as I didn't know what documents were required to support the TM8.

A quick bit of advice from the Farang helper, three signed photocopies later of passport details and biometric page, current extension of stay, and TM6 departure card from just outside and I was in the queue. Less than 15 minutes later and 3800 baht paid and I was out of there smiling happily...
