Update on:

TM7 (Application, extension of Stay) at Prachin Buri Immigration office. Based on Marriage and with income letter from my Embassy.

Kind and helpful staff in Prachin Buri.

They did not accept an application TM7 without a copy of a proper TM30. I hade one in my passport and they made the copy themselves.

Two copies of everything. They said they send one set to Bangkok.

Marriage certificate from my nation. Validated by my embassy. Proof of marriage or registration of marriage in Thailand from amphoe.

Wifes blue book, they was happy about my Yellow book but not required.

Passport copies of ID Page, My old Visa, the TM6, arrival stamp(admitted to), and the adressreport.

A passport type photo of me.

Map.. NOT handwritten, and not showing how to get to immigration office. A map to show how the immigration officer should drive to come home to you for the home check. The officer know the way to the village, but need to see where in the village.

They accepted Photos of me and my wife at home printed on regular paper on my own inkjet printer at home.

Important, dressed in shirt and pants. NO funny photos in swimsuit or pictures when tanning. PROPER dressed.

I hade one photo where I was on the yard, pants but without a shirt. They gave the application back to me and said to me, remove it, we do not want that photo.

Import that there is a sign with the house number on, visible on some photos that show the home with us standing in front of it.

Sign every copy.

Police check.. They told us already while we was there putting in the application, when the officer will come to us.

The officer also called one hour before he arrived.

He needed two neighbors coming to us. They needed to show their ID and blue book. He also wanted copies of those from the neighbours. Then he wanted more photos of him visiting us. Some he took, some he want me to take with timer so we all was on one photo.

In my case he was happy. Told me that some people are not at home when he come, despite agreed time. When calling them and ask, they are difficult to talk to and do not undertand the importance to be home at time agreed up on.

Right time, right place and right equipment is important. As always.
