Coming to Thailand on December 24th i need some information on the new ETA arrival application will it be up and running by December or has anybody used the thai visa portol for this application 

any information will be greatly appreciated

Electronic Travel Authorization. When it is finally implemented, you will need to submit an ETA online to gain access to the country before coming if you are going to use the Visa exemption.

Apparently it will be viewed by an IO and your entry will then be Authorised or Denied before you fly. (In all honesty, it will probably just end up like every other countries such as Malaysia, EU etc, it will be an automated system, not a manual review system for the border control e-gates and if there is a problem with your passport or the system flags you as suspicious, you will get kicked to a manned IO booth rather than having 100s of IO reviewing 100s of thousands of applications a day.)

This ETA has been delayed or put back until next year.

The ETA has been postponed until further notice. Probably middle of next year but we don’t know yet when or if it will happen.
