Oh he's a fucking twat ok ,a total fucking slime ball,
I’m really no travel expert but could it be that Bangkok, being a top travel hub, is feeling the effects from the worlds busiest transfer airport Dubai having problems because of the Middle East conflict. Like I say I’m no expert but maybe there are a lot more people across the world transiting through Bangkok. I understand you don’t always need to go through immigration if you’re transiting but a lot of people do, also staff have to be diverted around the airport in different ways to handle more numbers?
There was a massive queue last month when I came through. Must have taken hours for those in it.
They really should introduce special lanes for those with existing long visas (non-O etc.). Those with re-entry permits should be able to use e-gates to enter also, as everything is pre-documented and verified. Leaving through an e-gate with a re-entry permit took me about 5 seconds and if it works in one direction it should in the other also.
Paul Malcolm I think you will find he meant it's busy for people using the school holidays period which actually means more tourists which is evident as I'm here most of the year and it's noticed
I think more people are traveling with tourist basis. That can’t take longer to process. Also, it seems Chinese people always have difficulties that require a supervisor to sort out.
Strange thing is that departure is always a breeze in recent years... Must be, because at Arrival, they 'have to' scan each passport and computer screen for 5 minutes per passenger to make sure they 'do not come too often and spend too much money'... 😆
James Mitchell Plenty of direct flights to Vietnam. Like Suvarnabhumi, Tan Son Nhat airport suffers from insane queues. In fact, they're even worse than at Suvarnabhumi both on arrivals and departures.
Hai San what a weird comment. Travellers don’t “choose” to arrive at peak times. They are constrained by the flight times offered by the airlines in the country they start their journeys from
To be fair, the last time I came back in country it was a longer walk from the gate to immigration than the immigration process itself. And that's been the case for the past 7 years or so. Sorry for your bad luck I guess? 🤷🏼♂️
Mark Peters haha goofballs like you and the fast track comments never fails. Thanks for telling everyone about fast track. That line was 45 minutes also. Nice work
Mark Peters also, fast track isn’t operating as it normally does. They are taking you through the priority lane, which at the moment is also being used by normal travellers until the renovations are finished
It took longer to walk from arrivals and collect out bags than customs, which was just about a walk through experience in late May 🤔 we go once a year and have no flags against us 👍
Now someone has to wait in a queue for two hours he has to tell the world how badly Thailand has treated him and accused Thailand of going backwards. That is before he even got in his taxi.
The airport are having a bad day for whatever reason that does not mean the Kingdom is going backwards.
Stayed 11 weeks in Pattaya - totally overcrowded with Indians, and it feels like one is in Bombay, not Thailand... Very rude Indians at the hotel pool (swimming in there in their underwear, loudly playing their radios, and leaving their garbage and beer bottles everywhere), every other business in the tourist areas is an Indian restaurant, and Walking Street has been taken over by them as well... (Mind you, I have nothing against ethnic Indians; the ones in Malaysia are actually nice and friendly people...)
Paul De Graaf can you not recognise sarcasm without it being absolutely pointed out to you and underscored. For the hard of thinking the clue is in the contradiction built into the comment.
The last three times we have arrived and it’s taken us 1.5 hours to get through immigration. Last two have been about 1:30 in the morning - thought that may be a better time but it’s not sadly at least in our case.
Paul Franklin fcuk me, peak season???? I live here and work overseas,
I travel through Suvarnabhumi every 3 weeks, I was just stating my observation to assist people coming in and don’t need moronic comments that’s are factually incorrect from you.
Rob Reynolds school summer holidays in the northern hemisphere. So yeah, peak season, mid July- 1st week of September. My comment was a piss take, as it seemed like you were moaning even before getting out the airport, (next time I will add and emoji so its not misunderstood)
Rob Reynolds Its not my reasoning, its a fact, school summer holidays are 6 weeks. its prime time for certain areas, family & kids holidays usually wouldn't include soi 6 in pattaya or any of the other sexpat areas, but gulf islands and others for sure.
Paul Rimmer Correct. But for many other countries like Europe and nth America, it’s their peak travelling season. So where do they go. Well, Thailand of course, or many other Asian destination.
Paul De Graaf lol sure. European parents barely go to Thailand during summer. Why would anyone go from European summer to Thailand? Thailand is to escape European winter
Kenneth Owens Europeans who escape the heat head to Thailand. Has always been BUSY and cheaper in july august. . not to be confused with HI season Dec -April
What you obviously don’t understand is when several planes arrive at the same time of course you are going to have long lines. It can happen at any busy touristy location in the world.
Paul De Graaf Why do you have to come the all " high and mighty " ," obviously you don't understand "....he was just stating what was happening...and... you don't think 2 hours is a long time ??
And yes I am aware several planes probably turned up, I have racked up 210 entries, but only half the desks were manned up. I normally fast track but that isn’t available due to renovations.
