It would be great to be able to find approved cooking courses in a list,so many don't say on their websites even if they have one.

Area, Koh Lanta or Phuket.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around finding DTV-approved cooking courses in Koh Lanta or Phuket. Users suggest that approved courses will typically advertise their status online and recommend reaching out directly to schools for confirmation. There are mentions of other areas, like Chiang Mai and Khon Kaen, where such courses exist, and participants emphasize focusing on the location of the stay as a key factor in decision-making.

I had a look at your DTV cooking course. I would consider staying in Chiang Mai for 3 months but not 6 months.

Do you offer a more condensed version of your 6 months course? Maybe 6 classes per month instead of 3 or alternatively do you offer a 3 month course?

these courses aren't designed for convenience, the length is structured to satisfy DTV requirements of embassy officials at the MFA. Minimum safe bet course length is 6 months. Otherwise expect to be given a tourist visa for your 10,000 baht processing fee.

For the DTV Visa application, the Thai Embassy generally considers courses with a minimum duration of 6 months up to 1 year for approval.

I recommend that you first submit your visa application with the 6-month program. Once your visa is approved, we can then discuss and adjust your class schedule together.

Amazing, thanks. I'm very much interested in cooking in general. I may even take more (shorter) courses, I just don't want to be tied down to one place for too long as I want to travel in the south but Chiang Mai would be a great way to start.

If they are approved for DTV they will advertise it on their website

If you say where you will be people may be able to help

If they sell visas on their website and the Thai embassy finds out, it could lead to all visa applications being cancelled.

Why not start with where you want to stay. That is usually the deciding factor rather than the actual course
