Wanting to apply for my Dtv my country of residence is Australia…..

I am currently in Bali stoping by after spending the last 30 days in Thailand my question is is there any other visa I can apply for as I really don’t want to have to fly back to Australia if the wait time for it to be accepted is 4-6 weeks as I need/want to be back in Thailand mid/end November….is there a visa I can apply for from Bali or even Australia that will give me until January next year then I can sort my dtv out once back and not in a hurry I have entered Thailand twice this year one time

On 60 day visa with 30 day extension and another time after a trip to overseas for just 30 days now in Indonesia on my way back to Australia? I will also be doing fifo from Australia so 2 weeks in Australia followed by 2 weeks in Thailand next year…and plan to train Muay Thai well in Thailand as that’s what I do well I’m over there just train and adventure….. will they let me back in with a Visa on arrival again or do I need a metv or other visa any advice is much appreciated…I have all the funds to do everything correctly it’s just the current wait times as Christmas is coming up. I’ve heard people waiting 4-6 weeks to be rejected or accepted for a dtv regardless of correct info

I have accomodation where I stay in Thailand and a coach and everything like that bank funds can even book a return ticket..

Any help is great thank you!
Answer summary
The user is seeking advice on visa options to stay in Thailand longer without returning to Australia. They have already entered Thailand twice this year and are currently in Bali, aiming to return to Thailand by mid to late November. The primary concern is the long wait time for the DTV visa application, which could take 4-6 weeks, pushing their return into the busy holiday season. They are looking for alternative visa options, such as a METV or a short-term visa, to allow them to remain in Thailand until January before applying for the DTV.

I think your only visa option is the DTV and for that you will have to return to Australia. Unless you are willing to fork out for the Prestige visa, which starts at 650,000 baht.

DTV is your only option to reenter i think, al other is a big risk for being rejected even if you get a SETV or

Would the METV work for you? It would give up to 6 months and you would only need to leave once or twice.

Ralph Tyson a METV would not work for him on top of already having spent 5 months in the past 7 months. A tourist visa is a tourist visa, meant for tourist short stays, he will get denied entry even when arrivin on a METV

OP
31 years old, currently unemployed but have investments and stuff also have a lot of savings more then the required 500,000 baht for dtv…

I quit my job 4 months ago where I worked for 3 years on great money and now just enjoying myself until next year..

I have a clear police clearance and everything and have never had an issue entering Thailand I’ve just spent maybe 5 months in Thailand over the last 7 months training etc….i want the dtv but coming into Christmas and time of year everything is taking a while so if I can get a 60-90 or metv quicker then a dtv I can worry about applying for the dtv next year as I plan to move over eventually just as I have family/friends there for Christmas

WittyPersimmon9998 if you were in Thailand now it would be easy, just use a border bounce agency for another 30 day entry stamp. It's a bit more difficult now. If you want to guarantee your entry, I think safe entry is back at BKK airport

why is Bangkok better ? Just a different airport to enter into

WittyPersimmon9998 because most of the international flights arrive there

WittyPersimmon9998 if you've already spent 5 months or more in Thailand in the last 12 to 15 months then a visa exempt entry leaves you being at risk of being denied entry. The same is true of a tourist visa, both are designed for short term tourism and not for living in Thailand which you appear to be doing. Visa options aren't designed around your convenience, at your age you don't have many options other than a DTV or a Thai Privilege visa. Time to bite the bullet.

The question isn't what visa can you apply for. The question is what visa do you qualify for. That's something you need to determine on your own based on your own circumstances like age, family, etc.
