TLDR : Answer Summary
The question seeks recommendations for agencies in Chiang Mai that provide volunteer visas or low-commitment education visas. The discussions provide various opinions on the legitimacy of volunteer visas, mention specific agencies like MJ & Co, Thai Visa Centre, and Thai Visa Service, and discuss alternative options such as the elite visa and marriage visa. Several comments also highlight the market for visas and suggest shopping around for better deals.

Travis if all you're looking for is an agency to hand your passport and a pile of baht to so they can take it to a province you don't live in, use an immigration office you don't go to, and get a Non-O visa then a yearly extension based on volunteering at a foundation you can't pronounce let alone will ever volunteer a single second for :O I'd say try Thai Visa Centre in Bangkok. They push a LOT of paper <- get visas/extensions for many MANY people all over the country.

You're out nothing checking on their pricing

another one you could try (also in Bangkok) would be Thai Visa Service (the GIANT visa run company that used to lug people to the border and to Vientiane/Savannakhet to get visas). They can now get in country visas too and I know they also "push a lot of paper"

Check their pricing on the Non-O visa/extension

Martin EL Cono yes but what are you going to do after the Covid extensions end…60 day SETV with the 30 day stamp, then do a land border crossing and be denied by immigration at the border.? METV If you qualify? Ed visa until you can’t anymore? 60 day SETV denied with a red stamp? 30 day border bounces until they stop you? Marriage…plan ahead but we all know you will beat the system just like all the others before you
