What should I do if my 90-Day Online Notification is still pending after the due date?

Good morning! I used 90-days online notification system on September 1st, the due date was Sep 7th. Until today (Sep 15th) my application has "pending" status. Last time I did that in July 2022, was travelling a lot since then, so didn't need to do. In previous years approval was after 2-5 days. Is it "new normal" since then, or should I take any action? Or wait until early December, when doing yearly extension?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about their 90-day online notification application, which remains in 'pending' status after the due date. Previously, approvals were quick, but there are reports of delays in processing. Responses suggest that users should either cancel the online application and report in person, incurring a fine, or wait until their annual extension, though fines apply for late reporting regardless of the delay's length. The community raises concerns about the reliability of the online system and offers alternatives like mail submissions.

Were you actually inside Thailand on the date the 90 day report was due? If you weren't then you don't need to worry about it. The next report will be due 90 days from the day you enter (entry date being day 1)

I did my last 90 day online and it was pending past the due date. I went to immigration and did it that way because there is an online problem.

I suggest sending the TM 47 by mail, to be safe for the time being.

Thank you for this information. Did you pay fine at the immigration office? Are they aware of this problem?

@Krzysztof ********
you have a 21 day window to report in person (2 weeks before down until 1 week after) you have a 14 day window to report online, (2 weeks before down until the due date)

IF you filed online and it's not been approved AND you let it go past the 7 days YOU get the fine.. So I usually tell people if it's not approved by the due date, cancel it in the system and go apply go before the 7th day after the due date

they are aware. I didn't pay a fine because I went before the 7 days after the due date.

How to Submit a 90-Day Report

The 90-day report can be completed in 4 different ways:

1. In person

2. By Proxy (Giving Someone Else Permission to Notify Immigration on Your Behalf)

3. Via Registered Mail

4. Online (If the System Is Working)

- When reporting in person you will need the following:

- Passport

- Notification form (TM47)

- Copy of passport info page (with photo, name, passport number, etc.)

- Copy of current visa

- Copy of latest entry stamp

- Copy of latest visa extension

- Copy of previous 90-day slip (if any)

- Reporting by Registered Mail

Next, the registered mail notification technique is preferred by some expats since it is more convenient than going in person. Signed photocopies of the following papers must be mailed in:

- Passport info page (with photo, name, passport number, etc.)

- Current visa

- Latest entry stamp

- Latest visa extension

- Previous 90-day slip (if any)

- These must be delivered along with a filled-out Notification Form (TM47), an envelope with your home address on it, and a postal stamp worth 10 Baht. This is so that you may get the lower part of the TM47, which will include the deadline for your subsequent 90-day report.

The aforementioned paperwork must be delivered through registered mail at least 15 days before the deadline for your notification.

careful not every office will allow file by mail..

there seems to be some issue with the 90 day online system and reports pending for a long time

Sadly for you IF the actual due date was the 7th you now will get a 2000baht fine when you go report in person

Remember just because you APPLIED to file a 90 day report online, until it's approved you didn't ๐Ÿ˜•

Go into the system and cancel the report and go file in person taking the 2000baht fine

OR

wait and when you go for your next extension file the 90 day report then

I mean you're already past the 7 days so will get a fine but the fine is 2000baht whether you're 8 days late or 8 months late

Thank you very much! This just confirms what I expected. So now I just wonder how to file a 90-days report in person (how to fill up the form)? I'm returning from abroad on Dec 3rd and will be applying for extension on Dec 5th, so I could solve this 90-days issue then. It will be just 3 days ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

@Krzysztof ********
you either down load or get the form when you're out at the immigration office, they have them there and file a 90 day report

Yes, I know. I refer to the field "entered Thailand on [date]". Should I put the date of Dec 3rd, so actual for the moment of application, or Jun 10th, which is actual for the application which is still pending.

@Krzysztof ********
Either GO file a 90 day report now late and take the fine, OR wait until you come back and then don't even bother with it because there won't be one "due" if you come back Dec 3 but go to the office on Dec 10 and they might not even catch you didn't file one this time

Go in the system and cancel that pending report though

Mine have always been approved within a couple of days. I would go to the immigration office today to be safe.

To avoid eventual fine (however, I don't know for what reason) it's too late, the last possible day was yesterday.
Stuart ***********
@Krzysztof ********
okay, well I would have gone yesterday.

If it has taken so long I don't think it will be approved online.

Yes, I just forgot, it came to my mind today, that I didn't get any message from them. it's quite weird, as this system was rather effective after changes they made last year. But if there was a rejection (it happen to me once, due to my mistake in the form) I got rejection email immediately, never pending status was for so long...

@Krzysztof ********
yes, I agree it is efficient, that's why I think better to go to immigration. Good luck.

Your 90 days starts from the last time you entered the country

Just noticed you said 2022 :-)

This is the last time when I used online system. After it I travelled often, so never stayed longer than 90 days. I pointed it out to highlight, that approval was coming after just few days then.

I know, I entered the country on June 10th. Everything is good about the timeframe, my question is about period of application pending status, because it never was so long.
