Question if your on a dtv visa and are living there more than the 183 days a year how do people go about tax ? As your over the threshold ?
Answer summary
If you're living in Thailand on a DTV visa and have stayed for more than 180 days in a calendar year, you become a tax resident. This means you might need to file a tax return in the first three months of the following year. Generally, if your assessable income exceeds 120,000 Baht, you are required to file taxes, but if it's 150,000 Baht or less, you're exempt. It's advisable to consult with the Revenue Office or a qualified legal professional for personalized assistance.

If your net taxable income is 150,000 Baht or less, you are entirely exempt from income tax.

Just go to the Revenue Office in your location.

They'll help assess if you need to pay tax or not.

You are officially a tax resident when you've stayed 180 days or more in Thailand during a calendar year. The days do not need to be consecutive.

Normally tax is filed jan-mars the following year.

Good question I don't know what the thousands of people on retirement visa file their taxes, most countries have a dual tax agreement with Thailand but you still need to file a tax return in Thailand

180 days or more inside Thailand in a calendar year and you are officially a Thai tax resident for that year. If you need to file a tax return you do so in the first 3 months of the following year.

The requirement to file a tax return depends on whether or not you bring more than 120k baht of assessable income into Thailand in that year.
