Hey all, for Canadians that relocated to Thailand, what did you do with your address on your Canadian drivers license/snail mail? Did you change it to a relative's address, or something else? And anything else you need to do for your address regarding the government?

Thanks in advance! ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
Canadians relocating to Thailand should consider changing their address on their Canadian driver's license to a relative's address or similar. It is mentioned that obtaining a Thai driving license is necessary, so updating the old Canadian license may not be a priority. Additionally, there are options for mail forwarding through services like Anytime mailbox.

what about International Driving Permit? I heard from Elite Visa specialists that having an IDP will allow you to keep using your Canadian driver's license

@Ray ****
as the man said only for 3 months period it all depends on your local licensing office you will have to go to see a doctor to check you out

It was a long time ago I did it but I am sure that you have to get a letter from your embassy and do a eye test at the test office

You can check the information for your thai license on their website

Or you can get a company to help you with your license
