Has anyone applied for the DTV from Ireland?
I'm Irish, I own my own business in Ireland and can show years of financials. I am wondering what is the typical processing time on the application
Also, if anyone has an agent that they used could you please let me know? I would like to use an agent as I need the visa to be approved as soon as possible

They just issued me METV instead of DTV 3 days ago. I’m irish and applied from Ireland. Have all the documents they asked.

I got it 2 years ago. I also have my own business. You apply through London. It took a week or so.

Ireland doesn't have an embassy or a consulate anymore so everything is done through London while you are in Ireland.Christine *********
I applied last August time, it took a few weeks max (they asked for some additional documentation which took us some time to get) and within a few days of resubmitting the docs we were approved and moved out to Thailand in October. No issues ☺️

Didn’t use an agent. Did it ourselves. I wouldn’t bother with an agent tbh the hardest part is pulling all the documentation together which an agent can’t do for you anyway. The application itself is easy once you have the relevant docs!

London was quick but as mentioned the police clearance will add time.
Also, what bank will you be showing from? A lad on this recently sent all relevant info and was using Monzo and they wouldn't accept it online and told him to come in for interview...this was on a Wednesday..told him to be in London at 9am Friday morning. It wasn't possible for him at that short notice and they gave no option to reschedule, then cancelled his application!!

I applied last August / Sept and used monzo. They asked me to get a stamp or something to prove that it was legit but monzo sent it fairly quickly and it was accepted!Tara ********

he sent them so much..whatever he sent they just kept coming back asking for more. He had revolut and monzo, both companies told him that the downloaded statements were legal documents and should suffice but the embassy kept sending for more documents. It almost looked like an automated response by the end. I don't know...it was very unfortunate for him... he actually had all relevant stuff for this visaChristine *********

monzo wouldnt give him a stamp? He did overkill with the letters too. Yes. Such a shame. And a chunk of money to use too. I got mine in the first month of the visas, my money had been seasoned for a whole 10 minutes 😅

sounds like such a shame! I’m pretty sure my first response was automated but I sent letters explaining every piece of documentation that they asked for. And got a stamped version of my monzo (they requested) and it was accepted straight away. Might have been overkill with the letters but it worked!

You apply on the Evisa website, you must be in Ireland and MUST obtain a police clearance certificate before applying. The police clearance cert takes 3 weeks to process
