It has been around 10 days I've applied for DTV (workation), still the status is pending documents check. Could anyone tell what is the approx time of the initial status change in Thai embassy, Jakarta.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The processing time for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) at the Thai embassy in Jakarta typically varies. After submission, applicants may experience a 'pending documents check' that usually lasts 2-3 working days if all documentation is complete. Once this stage is cleared, the status moves to 'pending approval,' which can take an additional 3-7 working days. Overall, many applicants report a total process time of around 7-14 days for straightforward applications. The embassy's official processing time is listed as 10 working days, and following an update to the online application system, timely email inquiries can help in obtaining status updates.

Based on recent experiences shared by applicants at the Royal Thai Embassy in Jakarta, the "pending documents check" stage for a Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) typically lasts 2-3 working days if your initial submission is complete and meets the requirements (e.g., proof of remote work, financial statements showing at least 500,000 THB, and other supporting docs). Once cleared, the status shifts to "pending approval," which can take an additional 3-7 working days for a decision, though some report full approval in as little as 5 working days total from submission.

The embassy's official processing time for all visas, including DTV, is 10 working days (excluding the submission day), but real-world timelines at Jakarta are often faster—around 7-14 days end-to-end—especially for straightforward workation applications. Your 10-day wait so far suggests you're likely in the approval phase now; many applicants see the first status change (from documents check to approval review) within the first week.
