Dunno if this helps, but this is how it all took place for me...

I applied DTV (eVisa)

Status was 'Peding Document Check' for over 5 weeks!!! šŸ˜£šŸ˜£šŸ¤§

Phone reply: Write an email

Email reply: Wait Patiently

Finally, I walk-in to the consulate during visa-visiting-hours, on a thursday, this is 5+ weeks after I applied ...

Within 30 seconds they check that all is in order and make it 'Pending Approval'

Three days later (Sunday) 9pm (at night) Approved. šŸ™‚

Then apply for my spouse, Next working day it moves to 'pending approval'. A week or so later, it's Sunday again, and BOOM, 1pm (afternoon) Approved. šŸ™‚

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user shares their experience applying for a DTV (eVisa) in Thailand, detailing a long waiting period where the status was 'Pending Document Check' for over five weeks. After contacting the consulate via phone and email with no clear resolution, the user visited the consulate in person, where the status was quickly updated to 'Pending Approval'. The visa was subsequently approved three days later. They also mention applying for their spouse's visa with a similarly quick approval following the in-person visit.
