For anyone wondering about the DTV process as a U.S. citizen:

I did my 6-month exit to Vietnam and flew back into Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok. I handed the immigration officer my passport along with my laminated DTV visa. No questions, no issues just a quick stamp. The entire immigration process took about 30 seconds.

For me, the re-entry was smooth and straightforward.

That is how it is for most everyone. There are very few that actually get extra scrutiny out of everyone that has this visa. As of last February there had been 150,000+ issued. The one thing they are concerned about, with new profiles, and stereotypes, are those they suspect of possible involvement in scam call centers. That is the big crackdown in Myanmar first, then Thailand, then Cambodia, with Thailand being where all the money was laundered through. Now anyone they suspect of possible call center involvement gets special attention. This just started about three months ago with immigration.

make sense idk how people get denied entry. They aren’t disclosing to us why. So other become worry. If you’re legit. Your should have to worry

Anonymous participant they are so flooded with applications that they don't have time to deal with any reason, and the arguments/justifications that would ensue. There is no appeal, case closed. It is not intended to help you correct the problem next time, but to simply stop any feedback, and from experience over the years when they did give reasons for other rejections before the dtv came into existence. They treat everyone the same, so there is no question of favoritism.
