TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry pertains to the current DQ (Documentary Qualification) processing status for IR1 visas at the US embassy in Bangkok. Comments indicate that, post-USCIS approval, the embassy typically takes about two weeks to conduct interviews and complete necessary medical examinations and fee payments, while the USCIS processing can take around six months.

Hello Mr I am Guess ‘

what is wrong with the question sir ?

I see substantial amount of American Citizen here

This is specifically posted for those particular people who are in this process already

Ir1 ( immediate relative )

cases for US citizen spouses to bring them

to America on a GREEN CARD

DQ is a Term “documentarily Qualified “

When your case is done and documents are approved

DQ is what it is

So people who are at this stage wouldn’t need me to elaborate like this

But no problem since I’ve disturbed your peace in any way I would love to explain what it is for those of you who didn’t know what does the post mean

It’s certainly not for you if you got a question in your mind

This is the right group for me to ask this question

Since many US citizen

Have married Thai women

And have applied for them to bring them to US

I apologize if you got any inconvenience through me posting here

I didn't mean or you to explain it. I saw you got an answer. Somebody who knew, understood, and got you an answer. That is the important part. And the question was inherently address to those who would no (which is not me).

In contrast we get several messages with very poor English and its difficult to understand, difficult to help. I am a foreigner living in a foreign land and I don't speak the language.. I am not a person to criticize other's second language skills... But many people use translate so the poor English is a bit rare, making all the more entertaining.

I generally don't make fun of people who don't and can't. But I do poke fun of those who don't but can.

IR after approved by USCIS. Once our IR2 VISA was processed, it took the Embassy about 2 weeks to conduct the interview, Medical, Pay Fee's and get the VISA. It did take 6 months to process through USCIS.

USCIS processing time varies by which center is handling the case. Some have times as long as 12 to 15 months.

I 129 F allows to bring your spouse to states and have her wait here until she gets approved for green card

She can’t work here just totally be on your sponsor

But they usually don’t approve the I 129 f

Instead they make your I 130 move faster

oh yeah that was long ago

Now USCIS is approving the i130 for spouse in 16 months

And then in the mean time I was just asking around once the doqumentarily qualified ( DQ) with the NVC ( national visa center )

How long does it take to get an interview letter from

US embassy Bangkok

Since my spouse is in Pakistan

And the interview to conduct takes about 2 years I can’t wait that long

Luckily I, as an US citizen have option to transfer my case to US Bangkok embassy

Since I grew up in Thailand

And I’ve heard that once the DQ is done

In Thailand it takes about 2 months from interview letter received till the passport in hand
Julius *********
I was told my processing time would be 24 months. However it was done in 6 months from the time the package was submitted. I was very unhappy to have to leave Thailand. I thought I would have at least another year and a half.

@Adeel *************
Did you do all the paperwork yourself or did you hire a service provider to build and submit the documentation and manage the milestones?
Adeel **************

@Julius ********
I did everything by myself

My first step is all completed and approved

I am waiting on the welcome

Letter

And submit all of my civil documents

Once that is approved

I’ll have to wait to receive the interview letter from the US Bangkok embassy

I tried Google Translate to put this question in to English but it failed. I have no idea what you’re asking. This is a Thai Visa group.

I do understand this is a Thai visa group

Since there’s many US citizens here

And they got married to Thais

Ir1 cases are for US citizen people who applied for their spouses in Thailand to bring them to America

So I tried to see if I could find people who’ve gone through this process

Still appreciate your time looking that up for and sorry if this was post inconvenient for you in anyway

Thanks
