TLDR : Answer Summary
The user applied for a DTV (soft power) visa in Hanoi on December 21 and experienced a lengthy processing time, eventually receiving a rejection on December 30. Questions arose about the application process, reasons for rejection, and whether agents were used for the applications.
Same here. I also start processing on 22nd Dec and rejected in Hanoi. As I heard most applying from Hanoi got rejected for no reason. (I used an agent)
Anonymous participant 711 when you say you used an agent did you actually complete the application yourself or not? And were you in a location served by the consulate you used and remain in that location

Ive applied on the 22nd Dec and waiting for an answer, this is nerve cracking since I see a few posts of people being approved after 3-4 days only. Not sure why it's taking so long.
Anonymous participant he means.. 3 days is not enough time.. Hanoi took me 5 days on pending approval.. applied Monday, pending approval on Wednesday, approved next Monday.. last week.
Patience?! Youβve decided to apply during the busiest period, with many holidays. "Is anyone is in the same situation?" Well a vast majority of applicants...
