Hi, Everyone. I apologize if this question has been answered before here, but I am new here and would like some advice/help.
I am currently in the US and plan on coming to Thailand to teach asap. What is the best/quickest way to go about this? Should I get a tourist visa first, or should I come on a visa exemption and start looking for a job? Also what documents should I gather before leaving in order to eventually get a non-immigrant b visa. Should I get a background check? transcripts? etc? any help would be appreciated. thank you. I am very new to this and have seen a lot of different information. thank you again.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A new expat in the US is seeking advice on the quickest way to come to Thailand for teaching. They are unsure whether to apply for a tourist visa or enter on a visa exemption while searching for jobs. They also ask about necessary documents for obtaining a non-immigrant B visa, including whether a background check and transcripts are needed.
