I got my DTV approved on 9th April from thailand embassy in HCM vietnam then arrived at Bkk airport on 10th April no question asked the officer did not even look at DTV visa on my phone as I believe it’s already on their system when they scan my passport. I left bkk on 13th May through autogate then came back to Bkk on 17th and again no question asked as quick as hundred of times I entered Thailand with visa excemption.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user recounts their experience of obtaining a DTV visa from the Thai embassy in HCM, Vietnam. After approval, they entered Thailand without any issues, as officials did not request a physical copy of the visa, likely due to the visa details being accessible via their passport scan. Several comments discuss whether it is necessary to print the visa and how officials may question other travelers regarding proof of funds, depending on nationality.

no way that's rubbish talk. They don't ask l live here. Stop this bullsh##$t talk. It's people from some nationality that scam and don't have funds just transfer one day or week before apply. The officer can see this and want test them

What’s unusual about this?! Nothing 🤣🤣🤣

Just because someone gets questioned else where it means nothing. That’s an IO doing their job, asking questions and spot checks.

Sadly you chose not to print out the DTV visa you received in the email you received from the Thai Foreign Ministry.

Enough said, your phone worked.

This is the instruction many Thai Embassies and Consulates place on their websites regarding the DTV visa... and printing it out once received. Read the last paragraph.

@James *******
no need to print it anymore. We live in a digital age.

Anonymous participant 869 Then why do Thai Embassies and Consulates tell you to PRINT THE EVISA WITH THE DTV VISA OUT to present airlines and Thai Immigration Officers upon arrival into Thailand ???

we are adults. There are risk and consequences for our actions. Thanks for the advise but for me the risk of my 2 phones die is much less that I lost a piece of paper somewhere. And yeah it’s my own choice

Best wishes for your continued success. It's usually wise to follow the instructions of Thai Immigration, Thai Embassy's and Consulates, and Thai Foreign Ministry.

Is it okay to have the enough proof of funds at the time of application or do we have to show that it has been maintained in the account for past 3 or 6 months?

@May *************
it depends on the Embassy.
