Due to personal reasons i have been forced to cancel my trip to Thailand. Trying to apply for a refund of the overly-expensive PCR tests. Does anybody understand what they mean with the "3rd swab" ? 🤷🏻♂️

TLDR : Answer Summary
The "3rd swab" refers to a PCR test that was initially required for travelers under certain quarantine conditions when entering Thailand. This was mostly applicable in the context of the original sandbox program, which mandated multiple tests. Travelers seeking refunds for their PCR tests may need to specify which tests they are trying to refund, as one comment indicated that a refund could be obtained for the first test completed.
The original sandbox required 3 tests. If you got your pass then you were always eligible for a refund of test 3 cost

Perhaps the 3rd PCR test is for when you depart Thailand, when your holiday finishes, assuming you are returning to a country that requires you to take a PCR test 24 or 48 hours before departure from Thailand…
When I received a Thailand Pass & Go, the portal asked me to clarify the day my my holiday finishes, although it’s flexible for you to stay longer in Thailand as a tourist…

There were quarantine durations that required 3 Covid tests. I'm not sure that any still exist though.
