TLDR : Answer Summary
The majority consensus in the discussion is that self-administered RT-PCR tests are generally not accepted for entry into Thailand. Most commenters indicate that a test should be administered by a healthcare professional in a clinical setting. One person mentions using a virtual consultation for a test, but emphasizes that Thailand has specific regulations against self-administered tests. Another commenter seeks clarification on sources for confirmed information.

Lots of conflicting answers lol Can anyone link a source that states whether its acceptable or not? ( Just out of curiosity as I've already went for a non self administered test)

Yes, you do a home test, send it away for analysis then get the results emailed back to you usually the following day.
Either positive or negative results

Although there are ones, most countries (from my research) want the test administered in a clinical/laboratory/hospital setting.

I think some countries now specifically state whether it’s acceptable or not, I used one last year coming from the US but the actual sample was done with a dr over zoom then sent to a lab.
