Just had the COVID test at my Thailand hotel, only one sample taken of one nostril.

Was expecting the full RT - PCR test.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster received a COVID test at their hotel in Thailand, expecting a full RT-PCR test, but only had one nostril swabbed. Comments suggest that different testing practices exist, with one user mentioning they had a test done with one nostril and throat swabs, indicating varying procedures in Thailand.

I had a RT-PCR test yesterday and they did one nostril and throat. I have had well over twenty PCR tests and have only ever had one nostril and sometimes throat.
