Hello! I applied for a non-immigrant ED e-visa to carry out an internship in Bangkok. I applied online from the UK on 28 June, and today 5 July the portal showed my application as "pending approval". What does this mean? Does it mean that my visa has been approved and all that's left is for the email to be sent through?
And does anyone have any experience on how long it takes between "pending approval" and receiving the e-visa?
Thank you so much!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The term "pending approval" for your non-immigrant ED e-visa application indicates that your application is currently under review, and a decision is awaited. While this status suggests that your visa has likely not yet been granted, it is a positive sign that it is in the final stages of processing. The London embassy is noted for its relatively quick processing times, and applicants have reported receiving their visas shortly after this status change. In some cases, users have experienced a wait of just a few days before the visa is emailed. However, it's important to note that approval times can vary, and seek patience during this period.
Anne Lim. If the e-visa is a new sticky label they attach to your passport, be warned that Bangkok Bank have not updated their branch procedure manuals and will probably not accept it as a valid visa for opening an account. Had all sorts of problems with this, only this week. Be persistent. You may have to get a separate Immigration letter to open the bank account.
You don't know what pending approval means? It means the approval of your visa is pending. In other words it is waiting for an official to approve it..
