What does it mean if my visa application status is 'request document' but there's no upload option?

On Wednesday l was asked to upload 2 additional documents and l did. On Thursday l signed in into my account and on the status it keeps saying 'request document' when l click the red dot there is no place to upload but it is just blank.  What does this mean?
