TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a visit B visa in Thailand, you generally need the paperwork provided by your employer that demonstrates you have a job offer and that they are applying for your work permit. It's noted that many companies prefer to arrange for this paperwork through a Thai embassy abroad due to the extensive requirements involved in processing it within Thailand.

Whatever paperwork your company provides to you to show that you have a job offer and that they are applying for your work permit.

Most companies in Thailand either cannot or will not supply the paperwork required to do this inside of Thailand because it requires a truly massive amount of paperwork. Most companies will send their prospective employees out of Thailand to apply at a Thai embassy, where much less paperwork is required. Your employer should know what process works for them and tell you which one to do.
