What should I do if I have a negative experience with Thai immigration officers at the airport?

At Suvarnabhumi Airport immigration, the female officer handled my passport roughly. She told me to wait and then placed it on the scanner. Because I have a DTV visa, I needed to present both my old and new passports together. However, she threw the passports onto the counter, which felt very rude and unprofessional.

She also wrote the visa expiry date by hand in a way that was difficult for foreigners to read. At first, I thought my passport did not have an expiry date indicated. I had to ask another officer for clarification, and only then did I learn that the handwritten note was actually the visa expiry date. I even had to go back and ask the same officer again to confirm it. Her behavior throughout the process was extremely rude and unprofessional.

As a female myself, I avoid the female IOs as much as possible. I've never had any problems with the male IOs but every time I get a female one, they're not as nice.

speak for yourself. When I did 90 report, nothing but smiles, didn't need to give any of the documents (visa, tm47 form, etc) she just took my passport and 3 minutes later I was waiting for the grab taxi back home. Landed at DMK a few days ago, handed over my passport and laminated dtv, fingerprint scan, picture, and through immigration in 2 minutes.

Anonymous participant 601 They shared their experience. Maybe it wasn't as helpful as other posts, but mocking people for it like you are is much less useful than anything they posted.
