Anyone else feel an alcohol ban is coming? I just drove around 7/11s here in Northern Bangkok, and over 10 of them had no alcohol whatsoever,.and there were no empty shelves or fridges. Everything was set up fully stocked.... But no alcohol. Two 7s close to my apartment still have alcohol, but they are the only two, and their stocks are very low... Any else seen anything like this?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Concerns have been raised among residents about a potential alcohol ban in Thailand, especially observed in 7-Eleven stores in Northern Bangkok, where alcohol stocks seem to be depleting. Several users have reported similar shortages in other regions like Phuket and Pattaya, with various reasons speculated such as restrictions near schools, lack of delivery drivers, and general supply chain issues attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic. Discussions also included alternative places to buy alcohol and the prevalence of empty shelves for other grocery items.
I was in the large Lotus on Sukhumvit Pattaya last week. I thought they were closing down. The selves were empty everywhere. Unprecedented times chain supply issues time to buy gold. We have a very good relationship with with a mum and pap shop. We talked about a drinks ban and he said don't worry they would deliver to the door.

All stocks and inventory down to lowest seen in my 17 years. Lockdowns, lack of drivers, no customers to drive new orders, no money to replenish inventory, bar can't sell alchohol. People have no money to buy. It's either food or drink to many.

But you will still survive even you can't get alcohol, so take it easy π
For some reason, there aren't any little Mom and Pop shops in this area. Strange as that sounds...

It's the same here in Pattaya. But restocking slowly, with plenty of alcoholics = short supply.

Maybe you entered a 7eleven near to some school, where never alcohol is available?
