Has anyone done 90-day report online recently? Is it smooth? Yes I've done 90-day reports in person before.
Answer summary
Many expats have reported that the online process for the 90-day report in Thailand has improved significantly. Users can fill out the TM47 form online, upload necessary documents, and often receive approval within a few days. However, there are still some potential issues to be aware of, particularly regarding mismatches with TM30 information and using a mobile browser. If the online method fails, there are alternative options such as in-person reporting or using an agent. Furthermore, understanding the rules surrounding the 90-day report and visa types (e.g., conditions for DTVers) is crucial for smooth processing.

Yes many did online 90 day report recently and it is more smooth than before.

New online system at immigration website works better now. If you submit two or three days before due date you often get approved in one or two days. You need to fill TM47 online and upload passport page and visa stamp. You will get email receipt and approval paper to print.

But some still have issues if address is not updated or if you changed visa type or if you use phone browser. If online fails you can still go in person or use agent service for small fee. Try early morning and use computer not phone for best result.

For step by step screenshots for online 90 day report you can check Unlock Thailand by Isla Rey on Amazon. It shows new portal and common error fix that helps many expats.

Once you’ve done it in person the first time, you can do it online. All information you enter online must match what is listed on your TM30. My condo has 2 different street numbers listed on my lease but only 1 on my TM30. That got me hung up once with IO until I asked them about it. If you leave Thailand then your next 90 day reporting must be in person & consecutive ones can be online. Every 180 days you must exit Thailand briefly or extend in person.

Just know that extending in person has required all paperwork & funds to be current when going to IO. Easier to fly to Laos, Vietnam, Singapore, etc.

Good luck.

There will never be a second 90 day report on DTV, since the visaperiod is max 180 days before you have to leave Thailand and then start a new visaperiod.

Did you do an in country extension? Otherwise, as a DTVer you can't do it online, as it will be always less than 180 days.

You cant do it online since each report is your first one on that stamp

Have you left Thailand since your last 90-day report? If so, you’ll likely need to do it in person again.

If this is the case, wouldn't this also mean the only people on a DTV who did an online 90 day report are the ones who did an extension at 180 days which are like just a handful of people. From my reading of the conditions, it sounds like once you do the 90 day report in person, you can do it online going forward?

Exactly. Most DTV holders who have reported back here (after an exit) mentioned that they were unable to complete the report online. However it may depend on the specific immigration office.

Anonymous participant If you did your extension at immigration, you could try reporting online and let us know how it goes. That would be useful information, since most people leave the country before their 180 days are up and usually can't report online. You'll receive 2 emails: the first to confirm you've applied for a 90 days report and the second will be the final approval.
