Yes, based on the fact that you are not allowed to leave Thailand if you can not re-enter. Total hassle free if you can meet up the requirements to do the border run, totally hassle free if you can not do this border run and told to go somewhere else.

BTW there is NO Thai consulate on that border, you can not apply for a new visa with a one day service.

yes, they check your passport if all fine you get the day pass and cross the border, your friend needs or his passport or Thai Id card and can join you for the day

Thank you, and yes I’m not looking to get an SETV or any other visa but just a 30 day exempt (I’ve not had any of the 2 land border crossings yet) before I leave Thailand 👍🏼

I’m hoping Mae Sot will be fine then, from what I know its possible to get a day border pass into Myanmar? My Thai friend will also be with me.
