Update on job transition process.....

My current employer is talking to my new employer and they have come up with the following.

Current employer will cancel the work permit on 15th July (my last day), but they will hold my visa until 22nd July (date my new employer can obtain Work permit/Visa)

Does this sound right?

They are trying to work together to try to make my work transition seamless, avoid me needing to leave the country for visa purposes...

Opinions are greatly appreciated.
