As I understand it, you first apply for your visa, in my case the TR visa. 

Next step is the COE correct?

My main question is how long does it take to get your TR visa before your COE?

. It too me 4 days total to send passport and receive it back. I used priority express. COE took 1 day

Some embassies 10 to 15 minutes but you need prior appointment . When you make appointment, they ask for a copy of your ID and passport to send before going. At the day of visiting , you must show confirmed stay after qurantine with flight tickets and RT fees and 2 photos .

most visas are done online and by mail now.

Thank you but our Thai consulate does not allow any appointments, everything by email/online.
