Wondering how to renew my education visa when it seems all countries are imposing a travel ban. I really don’t want to take a 20 hour flight back to the U.S. My current visa expires in April, any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Summary so far

The user is seeking advice on renewing their education visa amidst global travel bans, expressing concerns over returning to the U.S. with their visa expiring in April. Comments suggest uncertainty regarding future restrictions and varying opinions on possible extension strategies, including attending online classes and the need for alternative plans.

I'm in the same boat... my current extension expires on April 29th, but with the schools closed, how could I extend if cannot attend?

My school is setting up online classes, but I'm not sure if that could be OK for the extension...

New restrictions may be announced at anytime... impossible to plan really, certainly for April!

I would expect things to get worse before they get better...and unlikely to return to normal for sometime

Its yet too early to know. Watch for border news.

What is date your current Ed visa course ends?

After that...

If a border run is possible doing so twice plus two thirty day extensions will give you max of 4 added months in Thailand.

But after that prepare a Plan B... for your return to USA.
