So i have an issue it seems. Because of circumstances. I had to split my Pension transfer in May ,June and july. Into 2 accounts in Kasikorn. So 3 month's. I had to transfer 60 000 Bath into my pension account. And 60 000 into my daily user account in Kasikorn. Problem now it seems like Immigration will make a issue about split transfers those 3 months.. anyone have had the same issue.? Not sure how I solve this, if it's a problem 🤔
Summary so far
An expat is facing issues with Thai immigration due to splitting their pension transfers across two accounts over three months. The immigration officer expressed concerns that this split might affect the approval of their visa extension. Various community members shared experiences and advice on maintaining compliance with immigration rules, emphasizing the importance of consistent and sufficient funds in designated accounts, and suggested seeking assistance from an immigration agent or consolidating accounts to avoid complications.

if your immigration officer does not accept this and refuse your extension, just start it over again from the beginning. You already have Thai bank account and money in. then it is never difficult for you for starting over again.

Think it’s time to get an agent. It will cost you a bit but it may get you back on track for your monthly deposit.

I had a friend who accidently spent from his 'vias' account instead of his 'living expenses' account and went below the 800k for a few months but adding both accounts together he was never below. He just took both statements & bank books to immigration and they accepted the combined figures. Obviously it depends on the immigration office.

Malcolm Whitlock 800K is never below, so what is problem???it does not matter if he used his money from his deposit. only matters if he touched 800K just for three months after extension. and never below 400K for the whole year... etc... But his fund was never below 800K. What is problem here???

I never said it was a problem, quite the opposite as I was explaining it should be OK. They were asking if it was going to be a problem not me.

When I changed the account that i transferred into, immigration could easily see that the monthly transfers came in and it was not a problem.

LivelyElk9857 if the application to the next yearly extension is still more than two months away, transfer 800,000 THB into one of your accounts, and use this deposit as financial proof for your next application to the 1-year extension of the stay permit based on retirement . . .(IF you have these kind of funds!)

Greg Alexander The author is not for the first extension. Two or three months to deposit 800K THB into bank is only for first extension. He should put 800K from the first month of extension for 12 months as ruled, while he does monthly income too. some were denied of extension who do what you said. yes, if immigration officer says Yes, it is yes. but many of immigration officers say No in that case. The reason is simple. when you got extension for one year, and you used monthly income method for last 12 months. Your extension is approved because you go on with monthly method. You also agreed with that. so for next extension, you should show your monthly income for 12 months too. The same as this, 800K THB deposit method. once you got extension with 800K thb deposit, you have to keep the rules for 12 months like not below 400K bla bla.. if you failed at this rules, your extension will be rejected. The same as monthly method. If you failed at rules, not income for 12 months or so, or skipped for one month etc.. your extension will be rejected as well. if what you urged here is correct, I am using monthly method now, and I wont do it anymore for months.. no incoming at all for months.. then I just put 800K just two months before extension, then, I get extension with 800K deposit???So, then, I clearly broke the rules of monthly income, because I did not transfer that income for months. What if someone uses 800K deposit, and he breaks the rules like he withdraw it and below 400K like that, his extension can be approved???never. Like this, monthly income method works the same way.

I did something similar... I put in 2 months worth in one month...

So effectively missed a month in terms of time... but not money.

This was about 10 years ago when I first changed to a Marriage Visa.

They refused to accept the next year's Renewal based on Deposit... so I quickly has to move over 400k Bt. It took a few days and they made me take out another type of visa while my 400k rested in the Account for 2 months...

When that came to renewal a year later I could then show 40k Bt plus deposits each month so I went back on that method...

It was a nuisance...

Hard learning curve. . 5555

First rule of Thai visa adherence is don't fuck about with "circumstances". Just either park Bt800k and forget or send over Bt65k around the first week of the month so you have 3 weeks to sort it out if something goes wrong.

You simply don't give Somchai at immigration any leeway to say no.

Are both accounts in the same branch? You will need statements from both accounts showing the overseas transfers. If both are in the same branch the bank should be able to write a single guarantee letter, if different branches you'll need a letter from each. And both bank books updated on the day you go to immigration

Yes . It's both Kasikorn accounts. I did take with me all documentation to immigration. That it was the same amount transferred as the last 9 years. . Only This time. It was split up. Didn't help. I was told by the Senior officer, that the visa extension . will not be approved on December 20 . I will then get 7 day's. Stamp, and have to leave before the 7 day's is up.. I also had proof with me, that I have approximately, around 1.5 million Baht yearly pension. Also the same amount transferred last years , Did not help. they Did not accept, my Thai tax papers either, the amount paid tax approximately 200 000 baht on my pension Income last Years

LivelyElk9857 the only acceptable proof is money in the bank. If they won't accept the 2 accounts then at least you have plenty of time to season 800k baht and use that to apply for your next extension
