How can expats donate Rh-Negative blood in Thailand and what are the eligibility requirements?

🩸SHORTAGE of Rh-Negative Blood throughout Thailand.🩸 Please donate every 90 days to avoid emergencies. This is what I know, I do not know everything.

O- Phuket

A - Phuket

A- Chonburi/Pattaya

O- Chonburi/Pattaya

O - Bangkok

A - Bangkok

AB- Khon Kaen (can take all Rh-Negative types)

ALL Blood Types are needed and are used. Please donate whatever your blood type may be.

However Rh-Negative is EXTREMELY Rare in the Thai population and eligible Westerners are encouraged to donate. Please donate regularly, every 90 days, to avoid emergencies.

Primary, not all, qualifications include

🎂 Age 17-70. MUST BE under 60 for first-time donor in Thailand. 17 year old need parental permission

🍷 No Alcohol 24 hours prior

🥗 Healthy low-fat meal at least three hours prior. High fat and high cholesterol impacts the plasma and your donation may be unusable. No Pizza. No hamburger.

🥸 Bring ID

🎨 Tattoos and piercing are accepted. Must be over 4 months

📅 Must reside in Thailand for 90 days prior to first time Donation and have Thai Address. Short-term tourists are not eligible

🇬🇧 🇫🇷 and 🇮🇪 UK, France and Ireland donors who were previously unable to donate due to variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease aka "mad cow 🐄 disease" are Welcomed Back at the National Blood Centre and the Regional Blood Centres in this post. Special processing is necessary.

Primary Donation Locations are

🩸Blood Centres accepting donors from the United Kingdom 🇬🇧, France 🇫🇷 and Ireland 🇮🇪 who were previously unable due to the mad cow disease 🩸

Expanded Eligibility criteria for Donors.

No more geographical restrictions at the National Blood Centre in Bangkok and the Regional Blood Centres.

ALL Blood Types are needed and are used.

However Rh-Negative is EXTREMELY Rare in the Thai population. The International Community is the best source. Please give the Gift of Life.

Primary qualifications are

✅ Under 60 if first-time donor in Thailand ✅ No alcohol 24 hours prior

✅ Healthy low-fat meal at least three hours prior to donating

✅ Bring ID.

✅ Actual donation takes less than ten minutes
