Do you need a flight booked to apply for DTV? Wanted to confirm approval first before booking a flight and I’m still a few months away from planned date of travel.

Just seeing a few posts where people are mentioning flights may need to be booked.

Applying in Sydney.

Cheers.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The application process for a Thai DTV visa generally requires some proof of travel intentions. While specific requirements may differ by embassy, it is commonly advised to provide a flight number at a minimum. Some embassies may request more substantial proof, like a flight booking confirmation or eTicket. In Sydney, applicants have reported varying experiences, with some being approved with just a planned flight number.

It's embassy dependant. Mine (Seoul) did require a real confirmed ticket. Mine was one-way, tho.

You need a flight number in the very least although some people have had the embassy ask for the booking confirmation.
