Do you have to show 20k THB in cash in Thai Baht when entering Thailand, or can it be in any currency?

Does the 20k THB cash that you might be asked for, have to be in Thai Baht or can it be the equivalent in any currency?
Just gonna be travelling from Turkiye that’s all and only have English money and nowhere really to change it 🤣

Traveling from Turkey, be ware the exchange places at the Surinaphum Airport won't exchange Turkish Lire.

BraveGoose7291, actually, it is not "any" currency. The currency has to be exchangeable to Thai baht inside Thailand.

BraveGoose7291 No, the Swedish, Danish and Norwegian currencies cannot be changed in banks, maybe in the black market.

IF you are really asked for proof of funds, it has to be cash, Thai Baht or major currency.
