Hello everyone!

I have a question for those who applied in Vientiane, in addition to bank statements have you also submitted gurantee letter?

The cartoonish post on the embassy's website only mention bank statements but I read that some also submitted guarantee letter, and I wanted to know if this is an official requiremnet.

Thanks in advance...

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the requirements for applying for a visa in Vientiane, specifically whether a guarantee letter is needed alongside bank statements. While the embassy website only mentions bank statements, some applicants suggest that including a guarantee letter may enhance their application, especially if they have a sponsor. One user plans to submit both bank statements and a letter from their Credit Union to support their application.

I will also be applying in Vientiane. I got a letter of reference from my Credit Union in the US, which includes a summary of my account balances as of Oct 24 (I'm applying Nov 1). AND I will be submitting bank statements for the prior 5 months (May-Sept), just for good measure.

Guarantee letter in Thailand is a document from the bank stating that you are the owner of the account managed at the bank, I've got the statements today, wasn't sure about the guarantee
