Not sure about Cambodia but I was called in after 4 days.in Vientiane i was,already in viang veng and got the e mail at 13.00 for 9.00 interview the next morning .stressed to say the least as I hate leaving my touring bicycle anywhere

I was surprised how quick it was.i paid the fee and 3-4 days later I was called for an interview. Went really quick and they just want to see your current finances and that was it. He did mention that I spoke thai fairly well and asked how long I had studied. All good thoughReply to

There is a chance to get an interview, but it's also possible to travel around Cambodia. Just make sure you can return quickly for the interview.
