TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about needing an additional COVID-19 vaccine shot to enter Thailand after visiting Taiwan, considering they only received one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in September 2021. Responses from the community indicate uncertainty regarding Thailand's current entry requirements and whether one dose will still be accepted. The conversation highlights differing opinions on vaccinations and some mention the historical acceptance of one shot for entry in the past. Overall, while advice leans towards staying updated on official requirements, a booster is encouraged for personal protection.

For your own protection you need to get a booster. Your J&J is very old now.

Don't get that clot shot under pressure just to enter the country. Doesn't that seem morally wrong to you?

Taiwan would without doubt dispute that statement... but in essence you are right. Double on vaccinations I fear is the way to go. But we have yet to see.

Looking at the past acceptable covid 19 vaccines for entry into Thailand during 2020-2022 a one shot Johnson and Johnson was fine. Nobody knows if going forward this will still be the case.

We just don’t know details as yet. All we have is media reports of a Thai health minister saying you’ll need this or that. No specifics.
