Bit off piste but is it true that if you go left at immigration queue there is a place you can pay to get a fast track through? Thanks
Answer summary
Yes, in Thailand, particularly at airports, there is an option for fast track through immigration, but it generally needs to be pre-booked. While specific lines may allow travelers to pay for expedited processing, this can vary depending on the airport and the day. Additionally, travelers over 70 years old might also qualify for fast track services.

Depends on the airport, and depends on the day. It's not fast track which is a completely different section of the airport. But there is an express line for people with business classes and first class along the side, and sometimes you can pay cash to join that line.
If you want fast track then you need to prebook that from one of the services available online.
