Does the retirement visa OA allow you to bring over your furniture without paying GST? I know the LTR allows you to.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the restrictions on bringing furniture and pets to Thailand when on a retirement visa OA. Participants agree that bringing furniture generally incurs customs duties unless a work permit is held. There are also discussions about pet relocation, emphasizing that the visa category does not affect pet import rules, and it is advisable to consult pet relocation companies for specific requirements.

I think a friend of mine on LTR shipped his. Gotta see how much he paid for it. I have some antiques that I brought from UK to Singapore and I wouldn't want to sell them. Also some furniture from Bali.

Has anyone brought their furniture with them while relocating. How much is the tax on it?

Why would you bring furniture to Thailand and no you’ll pay customs on it unless you have a work permit
I wonder if we can bring him with us on DTV. I'm not sure if relocation companies are briefed on this yet. The requirements are easy to check. I don't really need a company. I can get all the documents myself and it will travel as cargo. But who is allowed to bring their pet to Thailand and who is not?
