TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Non-Immigrant O visa based on marriage, you can use your home bank account to demonstrate financial stability. It is not necessary to transfer funds to a Thai account until you are applying for an extension of your visa after receiving it from the embassy. Additionally, for extensions, more specific financial requirements may apply, such as having a monthly income of 40,000 THB or maintaining a bank balance of 400,000 THB.

Last May I obtained a non O based visiting Thai relatives ( there no option for marriage) the financial section says upload bank statement with min £10,000 but this is a typo and you only need £1000. I can't remember if it was one month or 3. The pdf would not upload so I did a screen shot in jpeg and this uploaded straight away. The financial requirements of 40,000 a month or 400,000 is only a requirement for your 12 month extension based on marriage.

Yes, if applying for the visa through an embassy, you can use proof of funds in your home bank account. No need for a Thai account until you're applying for an extension based on the visa you receive from the embassy.
