Can I make a same-day flight to Thailand after collecting my passport from Savannakhet?
Has anyone in here caught the fly and ride, to get to Savankhet in time or even collected there passport and made it to the airport in Thailand on time the same day? the times i see look very close to me missing the time for putting in my documents and seems i may not make the flight after collecting it the following day.
Answer summary
A user inquired about the feasibility of using a 'fly and ride' service to Savannakhet and then catching a flight from Thailand the same day after collecting their passport. A commenter clarified that no such service exists to Savannakhet, as available flights only go to Mukdahan. They highlighted the logistical challenges involved in reaching the consulate in time to submit documents and suggested that travelers should consider flight timings for a return journey.

There is no fly-n-ride to Savannakhet. Both airlines that offer it only go to Mukdahan.
You end up staying 1 day longer because you can't get from the Mukdahan bus station (or the Indochine market) fast enough to turn in your paperwork before the consulate closes.
You're okay the next afternoon picking up your passport and getting back to the point where you catch the bus to the airport IF you use Nok Air and select the flights that depart at either 4 or 5 o'clock.
