I need to do my retirement extension this Thursday/Friday (when Imm. reopens) due to a sudden bereavement in the family at home as need to go and may well not be back before expiry.
I meet all the 800k method requirements.
My bank is Kasikorn. I think they're open Wednesday
Can anyone current and local tell me if it's OK to get the bank paperwork Wednesday so I can go to Imm. early doors Thursday?
Also, do I still need to transact and update my passbook on Thursday before I go?
Can't ask Imm. as it's shut and on a time constraint.
Thankyou for any kind assistance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user in Hua Hin is looking for advice on obtaining bank paperwork for a retirement visa extension due to a timing issue caused by a family bereavement. They meet the financial requirements for the extension and are considering going to Kasikorn Bank on Wednesday to get the necessary documents. Community members confirm that it is acceptable to get the bank paperwork one day before going to Immigration and that no further bank transactions are needed on the extension appointment day.

You can go to Kasikorn on the Wednesday.. get your bank statements and bankbook updated before you go Immigration the next day (Thursday). I have always gone the day after Bank updates to Immigration.. not a problem. ps. I am in Hua Hin.
but they say same day. But thanks - I will ask my local immi then if they accept that since it was a bit inconvenient the last time to go first to the bank and then immi.
If it is Hua Hin main Immigration.. next day is perfectly OK... I have been going the 'next' day for the past 4 years.. but please feel free to do it all on the same day :)
Thanks Wayne. That's what I've done too. Concerned more this time because need to get of dodge asap and concerned as first day after Songkran. Got Friday if need it too but if I can get finished Thursday can be on my way.
Should be able to go get the year transaction print out, the standard bank letter and then update the bank book the day you go to apply for the extension.
Most offices allow the bank transaction report and letter to be no more than 7 days old
Post in a Hua Hin specific group and ask your questions too, that way people down there can weigh in
