Answer summary
The poster is currently on a 2-month tourist visa in Thailand and wishes to extend it for another month while they still have four weeks left. They are inquiring if they can complete the extension process at the Immigration office now, or if it would be considered too early. Comments from the community suggest that while most immigration offices allow extensions 30 to 45 days in advance, some may require you to wait until closer to the expiration date. There are options for a tourism extension or a Covid extension, but eligibility may vary based on nationality.

Unfortunately, your choices would be as below unless you can meet other non-immigrant-type visas. Either case, you better to go to your local immigration office as late as possible.
- Apply for a tourism extension for 1900thb, you will get 7 days.
- TRY to apply for a Covid extension on or before 25 July. This may or may not be approved. If not approved, you will get a stamp that says "application is not approved, leave the Kingdom" within 7 days max.

It depends on the immigration office. Most will let you go 30 days before, and some even 45. But there are some that are very picky (Chonburi, Jomtien) that make you wait until the last few days.
