TLDR : Answer Summary
It is not possible to change from a Thailand Elite Visa to a Non-Immigrant Visa-O (Thai Spouse) without leaving the country. The current immigration rules require individuals to exit Thailand to make this type of visa change. However, there may be more flexibility regarding extensions for the Elite Visa.

Try to get an additional one year extension on elite visa for this year... immigration are being more flexible than usual, but you can't change from elite to non O without leaving the country

thanks for the explanation mate. Very helpful. It's a shame how Thailand Elite betrayed their customers. Its bloody expensive and they are not helpful at all.

I had the same experience. As soon as you are no longer a member they change. I even out of desperation tried to sign up again and they said I had to leave the country first to clear my overstay. I told them I have never been on overstay I went into amnesty though no fault of my own. They just wouldn't have it.

that's too bad. But will you be able to return to Thailand, once you left?

at the moment without doing the quarantine it's difficult. Under normal circumstances you either have to leave and come back in as a tourist either a visa or 30 day exempt for them to be able to do the Non O inside the country or obtain a Non O from an overseas consulate.
