I am planning to relocate to Bangkok at the end of this year when my apartment lease ends. I will be applying for the DTV Visa as a digital nomad and will have 500k+ Thai Baht in liquid funds by the end of this month or early November, with plans to continue increasing that balance. I want to make sure I meet the three-month requirement before applying, but in the meantime, is it possible to move on a tourist visa and then travel to Vietnam or Indonesia for a week to switch to the Destination Thailand Visa? Also, do landlords typically accept a tourist visa for a one-year lease? I completely understand if not, but I wanted to know, since Airbnb or hotels, especially as I am bringing my dog, would be much more expensive. Has anyone experienced a similar situation, but got their DTV visa? Which country do you guys prefer when I go abroad to get the visa? Indonesia or Vietnam? Thank you!!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user plans to relocate to Bangkok and apply for a DTV Visa as a digital nomad. They are concerned about the three-month fund requirement and the feasibility of entering Thailand on a tourist visa before switching to the DTV by traveling to either Vietnam or Indonesia. They also inquire if landlords accept tourist visas for long-term leases and mention bringing a dog. Responses from the community suggest that the fund maturity requirement is not strict, that landlords often accept tourist visas for leases, and that finding pet-friendly housing might be challenging.
There's no 3 month funds maturity requirement. I applied 45 days after it got 500K Baht. While applying, my bank statement was 585K Baht. They never bothered and accepted.
TV is ok for a one year lease, main thing is having the cash then you are good to go. Both are great options, It may take a bit longer than a week, 5 business days excluding day of submission.if there are requests for more docs then the approval time is reset.
